Betty E. Wardlow

Betty Lou English Wardlow, 96, died November 29th, 2017 in Naples, FL.  Born in Kansas City, MO on February 28, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Jesse T. and Frances (Reeds) English.

Betty attended Bancroft Grade School, Westport High School, and Kansas City Junior College. She graduated with her Bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri, Class of 1941. At MU Betty was a member of Tri Delta Sorority. She was also a member of the Naples Alumni Chapter of Tri Delta. 

Betty married Ralph C. Wardlow on December 8, 1945 on his return from three and a half years overseas during WWII. Lt. Col. Wardlow retired from the U.S. Army in 1967 after 28 years of service. During his career, Betty and her husband traveled to various posts in the U.S. and had tours in Tokyo, Japan and New Delhi, India.

After retirement, the Wardlow's made their home in Annandale, Virginia. They bought a home in Naples in 1987 which became their permanent residence in 2003.

Betty will be dearly missed by her loving daughter, Janice W. Barkley; son-in-law, James H. Barkley; and grandson, Adam H. Barkley. 

Lt. Col. Ralph Wardlow died in February 2004. His beloved wife, Betty, will be laid to rest at his side on Friday, December 15th, 2017, 10AM at Palm Royale Cemetery, 6780 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples, FL 34119.
