Bettye Rose Craft

Bettye R. Craft was born in Indiana on December 7, 1938, the daughter of Henrietta and Tanner Bollinger. She passed suddenly and peacefully on Friday the 17th of November 2017.

She was preceded by her husband of 61 years, Jack W. Craft, in December of 2000 and her son, Jack W. Craft, Jr., in January of 2016.

Bettye is survived by her daughter, Mary Doria (Rey); sons, Jim Craft (Eileen) and Jerry Craft (Heather); sister, Mary Ritzert Thomas; brother, Levi “Bud” Bollinger; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, along with her long-time friend Sue Evans.

Bettye and her husband moved the family to Naples, FL in the late 60’s and managed the Bel-Air Motel for over 30 years.

Her family was first and foremost in her life. She loved family gatherings, having invited her dear family and friends into her home over 200 times during her time in Naples, always preparing the entire meal from scratch, usually before the crack of dawn.

Her love of spending time together as a family is her lasting legacy that will be remembered with love by all those who knew her.
