Carolyn J. Drury

Carolyn Drury, 80, of Naples Fl passed away suddenly in her home on August 29, 2017. Carol was born in Chelmsford, MA , daughter of Jack and Exie Dusseault. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Gavin Drury of Lowell, MA. She is survived by her 4 sisters, Exie Kelly, Connie Goode (twin), Eleane Mongeau and Johanna Holleran. She is also survived by her 5 daughters, Carrie Waterman and her husband Sturdy of Dover, MA, Martha Drury of Bozeman, MT, Kate McCracking and her husband Henry of Columbia, MO, Sarah DelTergo and her husband Mike of Falmouth, ME, and Amy Sullivan and her husband Sean of Boston, MA. She was a loving grandmother to her 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  Carol was an excellent golfer. She reportedly won the club championship in every country club to which she was a member including Vesper CC in Tyngsboro, MA and Tiburon in Naples.  She was also a lifelong horticulturalist holding the position of VP of landscaping at her association at Valencia in Pelican Bay. The beautiful grounds are a testament to her talent. She was a painter, a world traveler, a creative spirit and fiercely independent. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road, Naples, Florida. Memorial contributions are to the charity of the donor’s choice.
