Donald E. Moretz

Donald E. "Don" Moretz, of Naples, FL, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Born in 1926 in Millersburg, PA, Don graduated from Penn State University and worked for the Pennsylvania Turnpike for 30 years as a Purchasing Director. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII. Don was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Summertime was spent at his Cottage located in Millerstown, PA. He loved to fish in the Juniata River and enjoyed wonderful times with his family and friends. He also had a passion for golf, enjoyed traveling, fine dining and dancing. He was active member of the Foxfire Golf and Country Club of Naples, and was a lifetime member of Hershey Country Club in Hershey, PA.

Don was a devoted Christian and long standing member at the First United Methodist Church, in Palmyra, PA. He will be dearly missed by his devoted wife, Zenny. He was a loving father who will be truly missed by his daughter, Leah Ann Shepler and son, John “Tony” A. Moretz; step-sons Franklin and Lee; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his first wife and high school sweetheart, Nancy Moretz in 2008 as well as his parents, John Walter Moretz and Anna Witmer Moretz.

A Celebration of Don’s Life was held on June 6th at Foxfire Golf and Country Club in Naples. Zenny’s love and care for Don gave him many additional years of life and happiness. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
