Frank Mogavero

Frank Mogavero, III, 61 years old, passed away following a two month battle with liver and pancreatic cancer in his Naples, FL home on July 22nd at 8 p.m. He leaves behind his long-time love and adoring wife of the year, Karen, who was at his side when he died. He left this world kicking, screaming and gasping for breath, the same way he entered it.
Frank moved to Naples from Philadelphia, PA in the 70's. He loved it here. He also loved his job as a Supervisor at Kyle Construction for the past 20 years and he had a lot of respect for those he worked with. When not working, Franko, as he was affectionately called by many, enjoyed doing yard work, tending to his garden and taking care of his beloved pets. He raised two African tortoise, several emus, a few snakes and two dogs, Rosco and Rojo. Sadly, Rosco, a mutt Franko saved from death row, simply couldn't live without Franko by his side and needed to be put to sleep just days after losing Franko.
Franko loved to eat, particularly anything Karen conjured up. He also enjoyed frog's legs (because they reminded him of the lower half of a woman) and Breyer's Carb Smart ice cream bars. Franko had a way with words and told it like it was; what you saw is what you got. He was a self admitted "Law and Order" junkie and if T.V. was on, so was "Law and Order." Despite his gruff appearance, Franko had a heart of gold and those who knew him loved and will miss him terribly.
He leaves behind his beautiful bride, Karen (Hoffman) Mogavero, also of Naples; his father, Frank Mogavero II; two brothers, William and Scott; and his sister, Faith.
A service in memory of Franko will be held at Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Rd., Naples on Sunday, August 13th at 11:00 a.m. All who knew and loved Franko are encouraged to attend. In lieu of flowers, take your loved one, fry up some frog legs, put your feet up and watch an episode or two of "Law and Order." Don't be surprised if Franko is looking down from Heaven and watching right along with you.
