Frank Victor “Vic” Steves, 63, of Heron Lane, Naples died Saturday, April 15th in the presence of his loving family after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on October 12, 1953 in Houston, Texas and raised in Miami, he was the son of the late Frank Steves and Lucy Ruffner and beloved husband of Ingrid Price Steves. Vic attended Miami Edison Senior High, graduated from Naples High in 1971 and earned an associate’s degree from Santa Fe College in 1975.

He was employed as a train attendant for AMTRAK since 1987 and thoroughly enjoyed his route from Miami to New York City. When Vic wasn’t on the train, he was relaxing at the beach or by the pool. He was a car enthusiast and his favorite drive was to Everglades City for lunch with his wife Ingrid.

He is survived by his wife, Ingrid Price Steves; step-son Oliver (Cristina) Price of Naples; nephew Melvin (Jacqueline) Steves III of St. Petersburg, F.L.; uncle Sterling Steves of Fort Worth, TX; cherished step-grandchildren Mateo and Emma Price; several cousins and numerous loving friends. He was predeceased by his brother Melvin Steves II.

A private family service will be held.
