Mary “Lou” Schrowang, 87, died peacefully at home in Naples, FL on January 8th, 2018. Born October 15, 1930 to John and Cornelia Gabriel (Dieroff) Klarick in Kingston, NY, Mary Lou graduated from St. Mary's and Kingston High School. She held an Executive Position with AT&T in NY followed by years of service as a real estate broker with Millard Noblin Realty in Tallahassee, FL.
Mary Lou’s lifelong commitment to her faith could be witnessed at Blessed Sacrament and Good Shepard Catholic Churches in Tallahassee as well as her service as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Naples. Her faith and love in the Lord was demonstrated daily by her afternoon Rosary.
Mary Lou is survived by her adoring husband of 57 years, Augustus R. “Gus” Schrowang, Jr.; and her loving sister; Louise Iapoce of Kingston, NY. Honoring and celebrating the life of their mother are her beloved children, Augustus R., III of Sarasota, FL, John (Melanie) of Tallahassee, Richard of Gainesville, FL, and Mary Elizabeth of Englewood, FL; and grandchildren, Andrew, Spencer, Austin, Sophie, and Adelaide Schrowang, and Sarah Collister who all cherished their sweet “Nanny”. She will also be missed greatly by her many wonderful nieces, nephews and faithful friends. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her sisters, Kathleen Hill and Joanie Anderson. Lou’s kindness and generosity will be forever cherished by those she touched.
The family will receive visitors Friday, January 12, 2018, 10:00 am, Fuller Funeral Home, 4735 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, 34112. The funeral mass honoring Mary Lou will be held January 12th, 2:00 pm, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5130 Rattlesnake Hammock Rd, Naples, 34113.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Lou’s memory may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, Tennessee, 38148-0142.
