Peter B. Dudley

On January 30, 2018, Peter Dudley, 71, son of the late Marchant and Marilyn Dudley, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, despite the gallant efforts of the surgeons, staff and family that cared for him.

Peter grew up in Barrington, RI.  He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and served aboard the submarine, USS Kamehameha.  He loved his country and was proud to serve.  He then completed his college education at Roger Williams University.  Peter and his loving wife of 47 years, Debbie, moved to Naples with their daughters in 1978.  He started a successful real estate appraisal business which he ran for 30 years and was joined by his son-in-law, Kerry Wayne, who continued the family business after Pete retired.  Pete was a proud member of the “Naples on the Gulf” Kiwanis Club where he made strong and lasting friendships.  His most recent “job” was being the most hands-on “Boppa” to his five grandchildren, as he continued to love and support the most important women in his life, Debbie and his daughters, Sarah and Leah.  Pete was not only the father-in-law to John and Kerry, he was also a close friend and role model.  His family was his #1 priority.

He waits in heaven for Debbie, Sarah Wayne (Kerry), Leah Ritchey (John), his 5 grandchildren, Katelyn, Allison, Adrey, Charlie and Bristol, his siblings, Sue Broomhead, Steve Dudley, the late Paula Tagiuri, and many lifelong friends.

The celebration of Pete’s life will be February 9, 2018 at 9:30am at the North Naples United Methodist Church.
