Richard Lee Jay

Richard Lee Jay, "Dick", left this earthly world for a better place on Monday, October 9th . He was 84 years old. Dick was well known in the community for his willingness to help anyone who needed it; over 5,000 golf students he taught and all those he helped find paradise in Naples through his real estate work .

He was surrounded by his wife, Linda; three children, Jeff, Greg and Pam; and grandson, Jason. He leaves behind a host of family including two brothers, one sister, seven other grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Dick will be buried in Lynnville, IA. Funeral arrangements in IA by Smith Funeral Home located at 1103 Broad Street in Grinnell, IA 50112 will be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dick's memory may be made to the William Penn University Athletic Department, Oskaloosa, IA.

There will be no local services; just take a few minutes to remember Dick in your heart as you knew him.
We're all sure he was met at Heaven's gate by family and friends that had passed before him. And we're certain that he had a tee time the minute he stepped through that gate!
