I was a year or two behind Stephen in elementary school and saw him in a school play called 'Clippings of Hair' -if this is the Stephen that lived on 33rd Rd. Anyway, he had a whole scene to himself up on that little stage at school and I thought he was fantastic. (It was the 1960's and the play Hair was a hit on Broadway) Unbeknownst to his sister Patty , I developed a big crush on him after that and couldn't wait for her to invite me over to do homework or just hang out.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Steve's passing. We were neighbors for a long time in Huntington, NY and shared many stories and laughs. Our deepest sympathies to the Archer family.

My condolences to Steve's family and friends. I knew Steve from Ketewomoke Yacht Club in Huntington, NY where we both shared the love of boating. Steve was always upbeat and enthusiastic and often the first to offer to help out around the club.
