Walter Spoerlein

WALTER N. SPOERLEIN, 88, of Naples, FL, died July 28, 2017 . Walter was born July 31, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the later Walter C. and Ethel Gross Spoerlein. He graduated Withrow High School and finished his bachelor's degree at the University of Cincinnati. He was employed in several Cincinnati area retail department stores as Business Manager. He proudly served in the United States Air Force in Texas and Georgia.

The Spoerlein family moved to Naples in 1969. Walter went into the Real Estate business. He enjoyed boating and was an active member of the Naples Sailing and Yacht Club. He became Commodore in 1976.

Walter is survived by his wife, Ginny; son, Neil Spoerlein of Naples; and daughter, Cindy Rhoden of Houston, TX.

At the request of the family, services are private. Donations in Walter's memory may be made to the Humane Society of Naples.
