Tribute

Albert James Ingraham Jr."Jim" passed away April 27, 2018 in Naples, FL at the age of seventy-four.  Jim was born March 29, 1944 in Norristown, PA to Albert and Norma Ingraham.  He graduated from Vineland High School and received an Associate Degree from Cumberland County College, both in New Jersey.

Jim was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corp and a Vietnam War veteran.  He married Rose Costa in 1967.  Jim and Rose raised their sons in Vineland, NJ where he was a Captain in the Vineland Police Department.  They moved to Florida in 1996 where he worked for Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens, and later for the Naples Police Department as a crime scene investigator.  While serving his nation and community was his life’s work, Jim’s time at the zoo driving the ‘monkey boat’ was also something he truly enjoyed.

Jim was an avid woodworker.  He had a passion for building remote control boats, treasure boxes, and piggy banks for his grandchildren.  He had a love of boats, fishing and crabbing, and had many stories of ‘the fish that got away’! Jim is survived by his son, James Ingraham of Naples, FL; son and daughter-in-law Frank and Kristin Ingraham of Coopersburg, PA, and three grandchildren, Theresa, Jacob, and Lillian; sister Gladys Moore and her husband John Moore; sister Lynn Pepper and her husband Lawrence Pepper; brother Kenneth Ingraham and his wife Darcy Ingraham; brother David Ingraham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A church visitation will be held on Saturday June 16th from 10:00am to 10:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish – Church of Sacred Heart, located at 1010 East Landis Avenue, Vineland, NJ.   Burial date to follow at Arlington National Cemetery, where he will join Rose in eternal rest.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association.
