Alfred G. Brandolin, 81, of Naples, FL, died on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Bayshore Memory Care following several years of battling Parkinson’s and Lewy-Body Dementia.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Nitra (Festa) Brandolin; his two daughters Denise McKinney (Rob) and Teresa Villani (Ray), his son Bruce Brandolin (Maria); 6 grandchildren: James, Alyson, Raymond, Thomas, Mark and Alexis.
Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, the son of the late Giordano and Antoinetta (Ierisevizh) Brandolin, he was a long time resident of Westchester County and then Naples, FL. Predeceased by sisters Nevis Casabona and Mary Calabria.
After graduating from AB Davis High School in Mt. Vernon, he married his childhood sweetheart, Nitra. His entrepreneurial spirit resulted in owning several businesses at an early age -- First owning a gas station, then founding L&N Tile and then ultimately owning Garth Custom Kitchens which he ran with his wife by his side for over 25 years. He not only took pride in his business, but truly relished the friends he made during that time. Over the years, his design expertise and reputation led him to many industry awards.
He was a proud sergeant of the armed forces which he served from 1955-1962.
Blessed with an abundance of energy, creativity and natural curiosity he had a variety of interests including golf, astronomy, aviation, boating, painting, real estate, music and the opera.
In addition to raising his family and building a successful kitchen business he also found time to coach little league, direct school plays, be president of the Holy Name Society, be a lector and usher at his local parishes, and volunteer countless hours donating kitchen cabinets and appliances to those in need.
He touched many lives by his infectious smile, charming charisma and willingness to go that extra mile.
A Mass will be celebrated December 28th at 11 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave N, Naples, FL. Interment will immediately follow at Naples Memorial Gardens.
