Alva Rae Smith, Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away unexpectedly while in her sleep on Thursday, January 2, 2020. She was born on November 9, 1943 in Grand Rapids, MI but has called Florida her home for the last 30 years. Alva is survived by her husband Mack Smith, her son Jerry Buck and wife Debbie, son Karl Buck and wife Laura, stepchildren Mack Smith III and wife Nan, Laura Brown and husband Richard and Cindy Smith. Four grandchildren Morgan, Daniel, Trevor and Victoria and two step-grandchildren Trent Brown and wife Morgan and Haylee Brown. Alva was blessed with two great grandchildren Josie Rae and Jedidiah. Alva was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Betty Kibby, her husband’s Art Buck and Ron Hebel.
The Buck family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mack Smith for giving Alva so much happiness and joy in the last three years of her Life on earth with us. She truly lived Life to the fullest and treasured her years in Naples, FL especially 5th Avenue during the holidays. Alva leaves behind many dear and close friends whom the family would like to thank for all their kindness through the years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 9, 2020 at Sunset, where her ashes will be placed into the Gulf of Mexico.

The LORD replied, “My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.”
Alva is now dwelling in the House of the Lord forever in the Heavens!
