Tribute

Andrea Jean (Oglietti) Schultz, 72, of Naples, FL, formerly Orland Park, IL, was called to rest in eternal peace on September 23, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Chicago, IL to the late Andrew and Pearl Oglietti, Andrea is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Deacon William Schultz; beloved children, Jeana (Nathan) Parry, Amy (Scott) Dempsey, and Bill (Kim) Schultz; adored grandchildren who affectionately called her “Grammy,” Andrew, Emma, Keira, Mia, Allison, and Abby; cherished siblings, John (Diane) Oglietti, Bernard (Patrice) Oglietti, Roberta (Steven) Barcalow, James (Patricia, deceased) Oglietti, Teresa Sikorski, and Laura (James) Kiersnowski; and many precious nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Andrea was a beautifully devout Catholic, raised in the faith at St. Helena of the Cross on the far Southside of Chicago. Andrea’s unyielding faith in God and selfless service to various Catholic charities was inspiring. She thanked the Lord every day for His blessings in her daily prayers and valiantly endeavored to live one day at a time.

She attended three high schools; Academy of Our Lady, Fenger, and Hinsdale South, graduating in 1968. She began her career with Illinois Bell/AT&T at the age of 18 and retired after 30 years in 1999. She had many friends there whom she fondly remembered and cherished over the years.

She did not wander far from her home roots, living in Orland Park; a member of St. Stephen’s parish. Andrea and Bill bought a home in Naples, Florida and hoped to enjoy many years in the Florida sunshine at St. Agnes parish.

Andrea loved and valued everyone in her life unconditionally. She was an inspiration to her family teaching us to love and forgive.  She had a special gift of bringing out the best in everyone she met, especially with her unforgettable smile, sense of humor, and warm embrace.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on October 14th, 2022 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 7775 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples, FL 34120.

Formal Visitation, Funeral Mass, and Rite of Committal will take place in Tinley Park, IL at a later date.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the entire staff at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL for their compassion and care.
