Ann Warren

Joan Meadow Warren, age 90, died peacefully on Monday April 16th, 2018 surrounded by loved ones at the Care Center of Bentley Village.

Born in NYC on September 27, 1927 to Leon Meadow and Roslyn Roberts.  Joan grew up in the City and graduated from NYU.  In 1951, she married Jerry Warren her soulmate and love for 67 years.  Jerry’s career with General Electric took them on many journeys. First to Rio then to Sao Paulo, Mexico City and Tokyo. 

Joan is survived by her husband Jerry, children Wendy (Rob), Peter (ex. Ninette), Doug (Mary Ann) her sister Carol Schwartz, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.  Such a blessing!

Joan was always an active volunteer – Girl Guides, PTA, Hospice, Order of St Luke and many years as an ombudsman in nursing homes in South West Florida.  She was a lay reader and a chalice bearer in several Episcopal churches.  Joan loved playing bridge with good friends and going on cruises.

Joan loved living – loved people, loved new challenges and just loved life especially SHOPPING!

We will all miss her – may she rest in peace and rise in glory. 

Celebration of Joan’s life will be held at 2 pm on Friday 27th of April at the Palmetto Room at Bentley Village.   Memorial donations in memory of Joan may be made to Avow Hospice and St Mary’s Episcopal Church.
