Anthony V. Palumbo, Sr.

Anthony V Palumbo Sr (Tony), age 81, successfully completed his life and passed away while surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 3, 2019 in Naples Florida. He was born in Matera, Italy, to Franchino and Angela Palumbo on January 02, 1938 and had four siblings, Tommaso, Umberto, Clorinda and Annunziata (Tina) 
Tony was raised and educated in Matera where he studied music and jewelry making. He came to America in 1959 where he worked as a jeweler and diamond setter in Manhattans famous "Diamond District. There he quickly made a reputation for himself as one of the best Gem-Setters in the business. Tony was married to Jean Mastromatteo-Palumbo in February 1960 and together, they had two sons, Paul F. Palumbo and Anthony Jr. Sadly, Paul passed away in 1998. 
He re-married in 1974 to Roswitha Graeter Palumbo and had two daughters, Tania and Daniella. Tony was exceptionally talented and entertained countless audiences around the world with his music and had the pleasure of sitting in and playing with many famous musicians for over a half of century. He was a genius in his craft of creating fine jewelry and with strict attention to detailed perfection, he mesmerized innumerable friends and clients with his jewelry designs. He enjoyed his hobbies especially playing his clarinet at various cafe's and gardening, but nothing pleased him more than cooking for and with family and friends and having his loved ones around him. He fearlessly experienced everything life had to offer with passion and verve and always shared those experiences with his family and friends by his side.
Tony Palumbo is survived by his wife Roswitha, daughters; Tania Palumbo-Savolle, Daniella Palumbo, his son, Anthony Palumbo Jr, Son-in-Law Fabrice Savolle, his grandchildren, Stefan, Marc, and Madeline, his brothers and sisters; Umberto Palumbo, Clorinda Palumbo Taratufolo, and Annunziata (Tina) Palumbo, and dozens of nieces, nephews, and cousins around the world.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 4:00PM at Fuller Funeral Home 1625 Pine Ridge Road, Naples FL 34109. F
