Anthony Polito, 92, of Ft. Pierce, FL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May, 12, 2022 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born on January 6, 1930 in Providence, RI, the son of Antonio and Concetta (née Zampiello) Polito.
He leaves behind his two loving children, Janet Polito of Bonita Springs, FL and Robert (Alfredo) Polito of Wilton Manors, FL; his sister Rose Miller of Virginia; nephew, David Buccheri; niece, Deana Buccheri; and his beloved caregiver and friend, Laura Heilman.
Anthony worked as a hardware salesman for Masback Hardware his whole career until retirement. He then worked part-time into his 70s and relocated to Ft. Pierce in 2011. He loved to golf and enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his family.
There will be a service at the Spanish Lakes Clubhouse in July in memory of Anthony Polito. A second service will be held in Bonita Springs in March, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in his name be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of one’s choice.
