Arlene Artz passed away peacefully in her home in Naples, Florida on Sunday, February 25, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. She was born August 12, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. After graduation, she taught speech and journalism at East Peoria High School, then was a young adult director of the Milwaukee YWCA. She was married to Richard N. She was a former member of the Oconomowoc Lake Club, Oconomowoc Golf Club, Kettle Moraine Curling Club (she was skip of her curling team which led to a Wisconsin state championship) and Blue Mound Golf & Country Club.
Arlene has resided in Naples, Florida since 1978. She was a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood, Country Club of Naples (she played 18 holes of golf until she was 90 years old) and Moorings Presbyterian Church. Her belief system was an all encompassing view which brought together the natural and spiritual mysteries.
