Betty Ann (Wright) Kirtley

Betty Ann Kirtley, 85, passed peacefully on March 28, 2020 at her residence at The Carlisle in Naples FL.  Born in Washington DC, she aspired to be a wife, and mother to surviving children Karen D Myers of Ridgefield, WA and Kevin R Kirtley of Greenville, SC.  Grandmother to Jonathan Myers, Stacey Myers, Steven Myers, Matthew Kirtley, and Erin Kirtley, and great grandmother to Ruby Myers, she moved to Marco Island in 1982 becoming the manager of the Royal Seafarer condominium and later to Naples in retirement.   Central to her life was her Christian faith and her love of St. John’s Episcopal Church and community.  She served on the vestry and the Alter Guild for many years.  That faith sustained her through a 4 year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  She faced into it with courage, a resolve to be independent, and a smile to all.  She asked Christ to take her home and he did.
