Catherine Rose (Olson) Slanec

Catherine Rose Slanec, 90, Naples, FL, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019. She was married for 70 years. Cathy and John worked together to build Slanec Heating and Cooling. After raising her two daughters, she became a nurse and spent years working in several doctor offices. Later, Cathy became a patient advocate at Mt. Clemens General in Michigan. Cathy enjoyed happy hour, golfing, boat rides and playing cards.

Mrs. Slanec is survived by her loving daughters, Kathleen Hunt of Sterling Heights, MI and Dawn Slanec of Naples, FL; and her grandson, Brian Hunt of Shelby, MI. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Milton John in 2015.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
