Danny Joe Dillon, 73, of Naples, FL, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2022, surrounded by those he loved. Joe was born in Madison, West Virginia to Dorothy and Jess Dillon on October 22, 1949. He graduated from Scott High School class of 1967. Joe left the family farm shortly after graduation and landed in Michigan, where he met the love of his life, Christine. They were married on June 29, 1974, and together raised a beautiful family. Joe worked at Hope Picture Frame before owning a distributorship, delivering freight across Metro Detroit. He proudly instilled a strong sense of work ethic in his children, as it was a characteristic he valued deeply. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends on Cedar Lake and poolside in Naples in his retirement. Joe will be remembered by all who knew him for his friendly and outgoing personality, sense of humor, and kind heart. He was a loving husband, proud father, devoted grandfather, and a stranger to no one.
Joe is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy, father Jess, brother Ancil Lee, sisters Delores, Christine, and Brenda, and his granddaughter, Adriana Grace. He is survived by his wife Christine, daughter Angela (Arnold) Acosta, son Tom (Candice) Dillon, daughter Jennifer Dillon (Darrel) Palmer, and grandchildren Haley, Xander, and Gavin. He is also survived by his siblings, Richard Miller, and Phyllis (Ralph) Tadlock.
The family will host a celebration of life on November 26, 2022, at 10:30 am at the Forest Lakes Condo Association Clubhouse. Lunch and refreshments will be served poolside following a short service. Address: 1058 Forest Lakes Drive, Naples, FL 34105.
