David Samuel Kahn

David Samuel Kahn, 71, of Estero, FL died unexpectedly on September 13, 2021. A long-time resident of Hermann, MO, he had recently moved to Estero. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden death. David was born on September 6, 1950 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Myron and Bernadine (née Kohn) Kahn. He graduated from University City High School in St. Louis in 1968. He went on to graduate from The University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science Degree and was Honorably Discharged from The Army Reserves in 1974.  David’s passion for the shoe industry began at an early age and continued with him for the next 50 years until the time of his death. David had an energy for sales that was contagious and never left him.

 David and his wife (Barbara) owned and operated several businesses together over the years as David always had that undying entrepreneurial spirit! Anyone that was lucky enough to know David was touched by his tremendous kindness, humor and bigger than life presence. He was a constant source of positivity and passionate in everything that he touched. Some say his heart was so big and he willingly shared it until there was nothing left for him.

David is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (née Hines) Kahn; his beloved children, Devon Kahn Huff and Joshua Aaron Kahn; and his 3 precious grandchildren who filled his life with light, Sophia Rosalie Pavur, Finley Josephine Pavur and Bryce Samuel Kahn. Also surviving are his mother, Bernadine Kohn Kahn, sister, Elaine (Les) Zigler; brother, Hilton (Linda Hoffman) Kahn; his extended family and an abundance of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Myron E. Kahn.

We will all miss him more than words will ever say.

There will be a celebration of his life held at Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road, Naples on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation for family and friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
