David E. Lammert

David E. Lammert passed away peacefully on November 25, 2021 in Naples, Florida.  David was born in Mt Vernon, Illinois and later moved to Peoria. He graduated from Richwoods High School - Class of 1967.  David served in the United States Army from 1970-1972 during the Vietnam War.  He was honored as a 2nd Lieutenant.

After serving his country, David attended Bradley University and earned a degree in Business Administration. He worked for Caterpillar Inc in data processing for 30 years and was able to retire early to spend time doing the things he loved the most. 

Dave, an avid sportsman, enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friends, watching the Cardinals play baseball and the Fighting Illini play basketball.  He was extremely handy and could fix just about anything. He could always be counted on by friends and family alike to be there in a time of need. He was as reliable as the sun rising and setting.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lisa; his children, Scott (Joanne) Lammert, Tobi (Scott) Iott, Dori (Terry) Cappas; his grandchildren, Jordan, Samantha, Tyler, Jackson, Logan, Kyle and  Bella and his sister, Patti (Greg) Kaeb. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Mary Lammert, and his brothers, and Robert and Barry Lammert.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 2p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Rd. Naples, FL 34109.

A celebration of life will be held in Peoria at a later date.
