Doris Irene Loiacano

Doris Irene Loiacano passed away peacefully on December 18, 2021, at her home in Naples, FL. The former Doris I. DeRosier was born December 21, 1930 in Saginaw, MI. She was predeceased in death by her parents Harry and Gladys (Granger) DeRosier. She married the love of her life Philip Loiacano on September 2, 1950. They were married for 62 years. Doris is survived by her 7 children, William (Michelle) Loiacano, Saginaw, MI. Toni (Bill) Higgs, Naples, FL. Joseph (Lori) Loiacano, Louisville, KY. Peggy Neils, Fairfax Station, VA. Sandra (Tim) Dust, Holland, MI. Philip Loiacano Jr., Naples, FL., and Matthew (Wendi) Loiacano, Belleview, FL. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and special niece and her husband Nina and Jim Perry. She was predeceased in death by her husband Philip, her sister Eva Howie, her grandson Jason Luplow, and her son in-law Paul Neils. Doris was an avid reader, excellent bridge player and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was known for her fabulous cooking and baking skills being the envy of all her neighbors. Doris and Philip were members of St. Stephens Catholic Church for over 25 years in Saginaw, MI, and St. Elizabeth Seaton Catholic Church in Naples Florida for over 30 years. Doris was a warm, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was loved and respected by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
