Douglas Draeseke

Douglas Gordon Draeseke, 79, of Naples, Florida, passed away on June 30, 2022.

He was born August 1, 1942 in Victoria, British Columbia, raised in Vancouver, BC.

Graduate of Magee Secondary School in 1960,

University of British Columbia in 1964 and Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1966.

He was a Consulting Actuary by profession; a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Polly; three sons from a prior marriage, Robert, Andrew and David, and son Trevor (wife Elizabeth) with Polly.  He also leaves two sisters, Kathie and Jan, and two granddaughters, Amelia and Christina.

Doug and Polly met in Boston and were married there on August 21, 1982.  They soon moved to Greenwich, CT where they lived for 34 years before becoming full time residents of Naples.

They have enjoyed traveling, golf and boating together, and are members at Moorings Golf & Country Club and Club Pelican Bay.  Doug was an avid bocce player, loved a nice glass of wine, a tough Sudoku, and a great story.  He was well liked by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
