Ellen M Daveler

Ellen (Bear) Daveler, 91, passed away peacefully on October 09, 2017 in Naples, FL. She was born in Pennsylvania on November 22, 1925 to Claude and Juila (Geary) Bear. She was raised in Bellmont Hills, Pennsylvania and spent her life traveling between Florida and Pennsylvania.

She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Frank G. Daveler; children, Bruce, and Jill; and grandchildren, Christie, Molly, Lindsey, Leigh, Lauren, and Kallie; and will be greatly missed by great-grandchildren. 

Ellen was an active philanthropist and world traveler. Ellen and Frank G. founded The Frank and Ellen Daveler Entrepreneurship Program at USF as well as the Frank and Ellen Daveler Entrepreneurship program at FGCU. These are only a few of the ways that she was able to touch the community. She will be remembered and loved as a wonderful and doting wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as an artist and quilter with the ability to connect and bring joy to everyone she met.
