Ellen Denise Pastir

After a difficult battle with cancer, Ellen Denise Pastir passed away peacefully on July 6th, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Detroit Michigan to Roy and Irene Reno, Ellen was a wonderful daughter and sister to her three brothers Roy, Carl, and Don, and two sisters, Laura and Barbara. Ellen was known as the “charmer” among the children and she did all of the talking for her brothers and sisters around their community because she was loved by everyone. She graduated from Mercy highschool and enjoyed much of her life in Michigan surrounded by family.

Ellen met Paul and fell in love through the fun and enjoyment they brought to each other's lives. Ellen was dedicated to supporting Paul in his musical endeavors as well as his magician performances in which she even performed as his assistant. They went on to be married, had four children together, moved to Florida, and spent 40 years together. She worked many different jobs over the years from waitressing to bookkeeping, but the jobs she loved most was being a wife, mother, and grandmother.

Ellen was a fiercely selfless mother, raising three equally selfless children. Ellen was the type of mother who loved unconditionally and strove to make life as peaceful and fun for her children and grandchildren. There was never a holiday, no matter how small, that went by without her buying presents or sweets to celebrate or spending time together with her children and grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren were her passion, what gave her strength and peace each day, and what she held on for. She taught her children the strong importance of kindness, love, selflessness, patience, and understanding, and these traits will be passed along through the generations.

Ellen was predeceased by her daughter, Sarah, and her husband, Paul. She leaves behind her sons, Chris and Lorin, her daughter, Rene, and her grandchildren, William, Warren, Brandon, Ella, and Owen.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road, A service will follow at 6:00 p.m.
