Elsie Bertha Maranto, age 88, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2019 at Avow Hospice in Naples with family by her side.
She and her husband, Vincent, lived in Naples, FL for over 50 years. Elsie was a very loving and caring person. She always had family and friends in her heart and in her prayers. Elsie loved creating a beautiful home for her family. She was an avid gardener, a talented home decorator, and made all holidays very special for her loved ones. Elsie and Vince met in Baltimore, MD and were childhood sweethearts. They were able to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary prior to his passing in 2008.
Elsie is survived by her three children and their spouses, Bill & Bev Maranto, Dot & Bob Faria, and Carol & Dave Matthews. Also surviving are two grandchildren and their families: Jennifer, Stephen & Jonathan Moody and Michael, Christine & Ada Faria.
Elsie spent her last few years at Brookdale North and then Discovery Village in Naples. She thought of her caregivers there as her extended family and was very grateful for their friendship.
