Emmet Cornelious Moynihan, Jr.

Emmet Cornelious Moynihan, Jr., born November 8, 1927 in Buffalo, NY, passed away March 20, 2023. Emmet was a retired engineering executive for GM in Michigan and lived in Naples, FL for the last 20 years. He was very active in church life no matter where he lived. He enjoyed bridge, chess, playing cards, and shooting pool.

He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Gertrude Elizabeth (Kraus) Moynihan; his children, Gail Day, Mike (Suzanne) Moynihan, Sue (Mike) Haffey and Patty Koeppen; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Emmet was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen Schumacher. 

A memorial service will be held on April 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Covenant Church of Naples. Luncheon will be served immediately after the service. 

In lieu of flowers, he requested that donations be made to Covenant Church of Naples for their Mercy Ministries, 6926 Trail Blvd. Naples, FL 34108.
