Gary Michael Evans

Gary Michael Evans, born in Charles City, Iowa and most recently a resident of Naples, Florida, died unexpectedly on January 17th at the age of 69 at his home in Naples.

Gary is survived by his father, Harry Evans; his sisters, Judy Harper (nee Evans) and Anne Fadullon (nee Evans); his brother, Bob Evans and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving wife, Yayai Evans (nee Sangracha). He is predeceased by his mother, Irene Ney (nee Paulu).

Gary was born in Charles City on May 3, 1950 to Harry Evans and Irene Ney. He held a degree in Social Work from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin and worked in both the social work and renewable energy fields capitalizing on his gifts for marketing and conversation. He retired to Naples, Florida in 2011.

Gary was an avid traveler and enjoyed scuba diving. His father, brother and he enjoyed their jaunts to Las Vegas. His sister, Anne, and nieces, Sachi and Seya, have fond memories of joining him there and hiking the Valley of Fire, touring Hoover Dam and riding all the rides at Circus Circus. Gary also enjoyed going on cruises with his brother, Bob, and both learned to scuba dive to enjoy the reefs in the Caribbean. His sister Judy, her husband Howard, daughter, Erin and son, Arick remember the many wonderful holiday celebrations they shared with Yai and Gary. During his military service years, Gary was stationed in Germany, and enjoyed travelling to many European countries.  He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
