Gary Arthur "Lefty" Novak

Gary Arthur “Lefty” Novak passed away on May 20th, 2023, at his home in Naples with his wife and best friend of 50 years at his side.  He was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on December 18th, 1940, the son of John Novak and Monica Lacourse Novak.  He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth Renwick Novak of Naples, FL; son Scott Allen and wife Susan Debra Novak of Northville, MI and three grandchildren, Paige, Nicholas, and Sara.  He is also survived by his daughter, Renee Ann Novak of Phoenix, AZ, and two brothers Jan and wife Carole of Ormond Beach, FL and Todd Novak of Palm Harbor, FL.

Gary was passionate, enthusiastic, and committed to all his favorite things in life.  He served in the Marine Corps for four years, and “once a Marine, always a Marine”.  He was awarded Sales Manager in the Security industry for most of his professional life and liked nothing more than to mentor and teach his salespeople.

He will always be remembered for his quick wit, love of banter and strong loyalty to his friends.  He loved to travel, even though he hated to fly, and spent more than 35 years covering the globe with his wife Liz.  He particularly liked Friday night get togethers with friends, Scotch, Golf, Fast Cars and Boats.

Family and friends will gather at a later date to celebrate his life.  Donations in his name may be made to Avow Hospice of Naples.
