George E. Clausen, Jr.

George E. Clausen, Jr. passed away July 26, 2022 in Naples, FL at the age of 93. He was predeceased by his wife Sharon Smilie Clausen. He leaves behind two children, George E. Clausen III (Cheryl), Margi Clausen von Berckefeldt (Rick), three grandchildren, Karen Moore (Eric), Steven von Berckefeldt, George Clausen IV , and five great-grandchildren, Evan, Grace, Andrew, Elizabeth and Vivian Moore.

George was a businessman and ultimately the president of Gilroy Food, Inc. in Gilroy, California for 28 years. He retired a vice president of McCormick & Co. in Baltimore, MD, and in 1992 moved to Naples, FL.

He was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs and has served on many boards and committees both in Gilroy and Naples. His faith in his Savior, Jesus Christ, has been a core foundation of his personal life.

The Clausen Family would like to thank the staff of Bentley Village, the Care Center at Bentley Village, and the loving aides that took care of him for the last six months of his life.
