Gina De Martin Hahn

April 5, 1932 ~ July 26, 2022 (age 90) 90 Years Old

Tribute

Gina De Martin Hahn, 90, passed away peacefully at home on July 26, 2022, from complications of dementia, with her daughter, Christina, at her side.  This date would have been the 74th wedding anniversary with her husband, Richard F. Hahn.

Gina was born on April 5, 1932, in Newark, NJ, the daughter of Dima and Giuseppe De Martin.  She spent her childhood years both in the small village of Dosoledo, in the Dolomite mountains of Italy and in Northeastern New Jersey.  While balancing her responsibilities to her husband and five children, Gina served as Vice-President and co-owner of Jewel Equities Corporation, a real estate development and management company, which she ran with her husband Richard, who passed away in 2014.  Gina was also very active in politics at the local, state, and national level throughout her life.

In fact, it is safe to say Gina's passion was politics, and she made a very significant impact in Collier County and in the state of Florida.  Her accomplishments are too numerous to mention, but the highlights include:  President of the Women's Republican Club of Naples Federated and Editor of their Newsletter, "Trunkline", multiple years as Collier County State Committeewoman, several times Republican National Convention Delegate, and served on Presidential Campaigns for Goldwater, Reagan, Bush (both father and son) and Guiliani.  She was also named Volunteer of the Year for the Republican Party of Florida.  Gina attended multiple Presidential and Gubernatorial Inaugurations and Balls.  Amongst her peers she was well-respected for her professionalism, integrity, work ethic, intelligence and knowledge.

Gina, along with her husband, Richard, raised five children.  She was a devoted mother who taught her children, through her example, the values of honesty, commitment, integrity, empathy, compassion, kindness, and charity.  She loved her husband, children and grandchildren wholeheartedly, asking very little in return.  She will be greatly missed by so many.

Gina is survived by her four daughters, Christina De Martin Hahn, Gina Hahn Fair, Cheryl Hahn Marino, and Celeste Hahn Becker, and one son, Richard Scott Hahn; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Imelda De Martin.  In addition to to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27, at 2:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 4150 Goodlette-Frank Road, Naples.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Humane Society or Salvation Army.
