Grover Williamson, 87, of Naples, Florida passed away on Sunday May 13, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Grover was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His love of rebuilding and working on vintage cars was a hobby he enjoyed his entire life. Grover was born October 17, 1930 in Kermit, West Virginia. He left West Virginia in his teens for Columbus, Ohio. Grover met Kathryne, his wife, and they married after a short courtship. Being drafted into the Army shortly after getting married Grover served his country for two years, fighting in the Korean war, achieving the status of Sergeant. He continued serving his country in the Army Reserves. While in the reserves Grover started his own construction business which developed into a huge success. Retiring at 47, Grover and Kathryne moved to Naples, Florida to enjoy retirement. Grover is survived by his wife, Kathryne of 67 years, his daughters, Deborah (Dale) Sparks, Barbara (Howard) Koontz, Jackie (Onil) Gonzalez. His grandchildren: Kathryne (William) Warren, Jayson (Agnes) Brockmeyer, Michael (Sarah) Johnson, Ashley (Josh) Dunlap and Matthew (Paige Carroll) Gonzalez. Numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his brother Lelon (Louise) Williamson. Grover is preceded in death by his parents Jay & Maggie Williamson, most of his brothers, sisters and his grandson Brandon Sparks.
There will be a Memorial Gathering, Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 4pm to 6pm with a Memorial Service at 5pm followed by Military Honors.
