Henry L. Bates

Henry L. Bates, 90, passed away March 25, 2020, at his home with his family around him. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Naples. He served as a greeter for many years. He was a former member of First Southern Baptist Church in Evansville, IN where he served as a deacon. He was a ceramic tile contractor for over 50 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Mary Bates, and his brother, Joe. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria, and a loving daughter, Debra. He is survived by his sister, Betty(Bob) Jenkins, adopted daughter, Leslie(Scott)Phillips and nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 9:00am at Fuller Funeral Home Tamiami Trail East followed by a Prayer Service at 10:30am. A private graveside service will be held at the National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Avow Hospice, Naples, FL.
