Henry Frank Harer, 70, a resident of Naples since 1958, died April 28th, 2018. Born January 23, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the son of the late Henry and Leona (Fares) Harer.

Henry moved to Naples when he was 10 years old. He stayed with his grandparents while his family relocated to Naples. They were building the Gondolier Apartments, where Henry spent his childhood fishing and boating with family and friends; he enjoyed many "Tom Sawyer" type days.

Henry graduated from Georgia State University with a Fine Arts Degree. He put his education and talents to use in Hollywood and Long Beach, CA working for many toy companies. He designed packaging graphics and signs for many companies including FHP Healthcare and The Pond in Anaheim CA.

Backpacking and camping in his spare time, Henry enjoyed spending time at his “get a way” in the desert. In summer Henry would journey to Naples to help his mother with the apartments and any necessary repairs. Later on, Henry owned and operated The Gondolier Apartments.

He is survived by his sister, Marlene H. Decker; 4 nephews, David, Ron, Mark and Dale; and Special Friend, Janeen Chester. He will be dearly missed.

Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, May 9th from 4-6pm at the Fuller Funeral Home 4735 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34112.
