Hui Kwang "Keith" Wang

July 1, 1947 ~ May 19, 2021 (age 73) 73 Years Old

Tribute

Hui Kwang “Keith” Wang,  a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend left this world on May 19, 2021 at the age of 73 after a courageous battle with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP).

He was born in Taiwan on July 1, 1947 and was the youngest of eight brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife (Julie), brother (Tiao Feng Wang), son (Roland) and his wife (Tara), daughter (Sarah) and her husband (Robert), nieces, nephews and grandchildren (Mackensie and Quentin). Keith was sponsored by Kwansei Gakuin High School to attend Warren Wilson, where he met the love of his life, Julie. They moved to New Jersey and raised two children. There, he got his Master in Mathematics (Rutgers University), completed his MBA (New York University) and opened his own Certified Public Accounting firm. He retired in 2012 and moved to Naples, Florida to enjoy the warm weather and leave behind the harsh winters of the northeast.

Over the years, the family took many wonderful trips around the world because Keith wanted his children to be exposed to different cultures and experiences. Integrating his own culture with his new life in New Jersey was also important to him. His niece will tell a story of when she came to his house for dinner and how she was required to practice both English and Chinese or she couldn’t leave the table. Although he was strict, it was because he wanted the best for his family and to see them succeed in the United States.

Keith loved spending time playing chess, reading, enjoying his wife’s cooking, and watching his grandchildren. When he was healthy, he would enjoy a snifter of cognac before bed. He was young at heart and had such a sweet tooth he would never turn down a dessert. He would often sneak in sweets without his wife’s knowledge because she had him on such a strict diet.

Please join the family in celebration of his life on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., which would have been Julie and Keith’s 50th Wedding Anniversary, at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Greater Naples, 6340 Napa Woods Way, Naples, FL 34116. In lieu of flowers, please make a tribute gift in his honor to CurePSP, 1216 Broadway, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10001. https://www.psp.org/.
