 Irene Adele (Cullen) Dacey, 86 of Naples, Florida, peacefully entered eternal rest on August 3, 2022.  Irene was the daughter of the late Olga Adele and Colonel Thomas P. Cullen (US Army-Ret). She was born on July 11,1936 in Middletown, NY but soon after moved to the Bronx. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, Manhattan in 1954. Irene worked at The Metropolitan Museum of Art until she met her husband in the summer of 1956. Irene married her loving husband Donald J Dacey, Sr. in May of 1958 and their love story lasted 64 years. Together they raised their family in Hauppauge, New York for over 50 years where Irene thoroughly enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and cooking delicious meals for her family. Irene was a dog lover and an avid reader who could finish a book in a day. Irene could light up a room with her outgoing personality and entertained many friends for hours over a cup of tea. Irene’s favorite quote was, “you have to have a laugh a day,” which she provided for many friends and family over the years of her blessed life.

Irene and her husband Don moved to Naples, FL where they resided at The Carlisle for 5 years. Irene is survived by her husband, Don, her five children, Donald Dacey Jr. (Lisa) Naples, FL, Thomas Dacey (Stephanie) Round Hill, VA, Susan Chiuchiolo (late Al) Naples, FL, John Dacey (Debra), Mahopac, NY, and Maryanne Dacey-Tibbitt (Paul) Los Angeles, CA. Irene is also survived by her 10 adoring grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart, Ryan Dacey, TJ Dacey (Alicia), Sean Dacey (Lindsay), Ashlyn Dacey, Matthew Chiuchiolo, Michael Dacey, Nicholas Chiuchiolo, Danielle Dacey, Andrew Dacey, and Jack Tibbitt.
