Jacqueline Elizabeth O'Neill

Jacqueline E. O’Neill, age 85, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2019 at Brookdale Assisted Living Home in Naples after a long illness.  Jacqueline was surrounded by her family in peace.  Jacqueline (Jackie) was born on May 2, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York.  She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph, her sisters, Joanne, Judy, and Janet, her parents Cecilia and Joseph Reilly, and her former husband, Kevin O’Neill. Jackie lived for the past several years at Brookdale where she was cared for deeply by the staff, her nurses, and friends.  Prior to Brookdale, Jackie lived in Pelican Bay (Serendipity) where she spent over 20 years in a home she loved and shared with her family. Jackie worked at Pelican Bay Tennis for many years where she made so many treasured friends with her smile and humor.  Jackie was a communicant at St. William Catholic Church in Naples, Florida.

 Jackie leaves her five beloved children and their spouses: Patty Holtz (Allan Hunt) Naples, Fla., Sean O’Neill (former wife Cindy O’Neill), Charleston, SC. Moira Aitro (Joseph Aitro) Cheshire CT, Kevin O’Neill (Fern O’Neill), LaGrange, Ill. and Deirdre Montenegro (Calixto Montenegro) Naples, Fla. Thirteen grandchildren: Bobby( Lisa),Michael and Kevin Holtz, Shane, Conor, Fallon O’Neill, Tara and Megan Aitro, Patrick, Ryan, Dillon O’Neill, and Ashley and Nicole Montenegro. Two great grand-children: Riley and Hunter, and many nieces and nephews from the Lyons, Hugie, and Claridy families.

Jackie will be remembered for her love for life, her love for her family, and her love for her faith.  Jackie always had a smile for friends and strangers and was the hostess with the mostest, always cooking and entertaining family and friends.  Jackie was a very strong and beautiful person who leaves this legacy to her family.

A memorial mass will take place at St. William Catholic Church in Naples,Florida on Saturday December 28, 2019 @ 10:45.  A private family memorial service will be held following her mass.
