Janet Arndt Bukowski, 88, of Naples, Florida, passed away on September 30, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 11, 1929 in Terryville, CT, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Olga Arndt.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Henry Bukowski of Naples, FL; son, John Bukowski and wife Linda of Naples, FL; daughter, Laura Johns and husband James of Naples, FL and Poland, OH; son, Robert Bukowski and wife Valerie of Knoxville, TN; four grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Molly and Amy Bukowski, and three great-grandchildren.
Raising their three children in Bristol, she loved packing up the family camper for many memorable summer getaways up and down the New England shore; and supporting her family’s passion for baseball, beginning as a volunteer at the Edgewood Little League ball field, she became a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan. After retiring from her position with the Bristol Board of Education school library system, Janet and Hank moved to Bear Lakes, West Palm Beach, FL in 1986, pursuing the sunshine and making many new friends in their wonderful golden years.
A family memorial will be held at a later date in Terryville, CT. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 134 Main Street, Terryville, CT 06786.
