Jean A Linsner

Jean A. Linsner, 62, a 16 year resident of Marco Island, FL lost her valiant battle with cancer on June 3, 2017. Born February 12, 1955, in Lakeville, IN, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Wilma (Smith) Elkins. Jean graduated from Plymouth (IN) High School, Class of '73. She lived in Plymouth for many years. It is there that she and her husband, Marc raised their family. Jean enjoyed a short career with Cabot Safety Corp. while in Plymouth.

After discovering Marco Island, FL, Jean decided that Florida was the place where she wanted to live out her life. She loved living near the water collecting seashells, and enjoying sea life. Her love of the ocean set she and Marc sailing their boat to locations on the Florida Coasts, the Florida Keys, Mexico, and the Bahamas. It was extra special when dolphins would swim along with the sail boat. But nothing could outmatch her love for her family. Jean will forever live within our hearts as we remember her happy, full, and caring life.

She is survived by husband of 44 years, Marc Linsner; son Brad of Shelton, WA; daughter, Sharon Forgey of Marco Island; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and her three sisters, Helen Schooler, Vicki Hahn, and Becky Samuels, all of Indiana.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 9th, 11:30AM at Fuller Funeral Home, 4735 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, 34112. The family will receive visitors starting at 10:30AM.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jean's memory to the charity of choice.
