John Campagne

John Campagne passed peacefully on June 1, 2022 in Naples, Florida at the age of 87.  He was born on August 24, 1934 in a small village on Long Island in Amityville, New York.  John was the husband of Patricia Campagne, and spent the last 40 years with the love of his life living in Naples.  John always made everyone feel comfortable with his good nature and sense of humor.  He made us laugh.  John loved his family, golfing, and throwing amazing parties with his wife. He was very proud of his grandchildren and of all of the accomplishments his family has achieved. He would tell everyone he met that he had the best family ever.

John worked for Long Island Lighting Company from age 17 until his retirement in 1990.   He spent his career in progressively higher positions within the finance area.  He was instrumental in working with the New York States’ Regulatory agencies to set the consumer rates for electric, gas, and solar power.  John was active in the Countryside community.  He lead the golf renovations in the early 2000’s, was a member of the master board, and an avid golfer.  He called Countryside “Paradise”.

John is survived by his children Doreen, Scott and Gary, and his step children, Lisa, Bill, Louis and Leslie.  John is survived by 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. 

A funeral Mass is scheduled at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 5130 Rattlesnake Hammock Rd. Naples on June 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.  The family will celebrate his life at a luncheon in the Countryside Country Club following his internment.
