John Joseph Campo Jr, 67, from Ft. Myers, FL passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023.
Born in Providence, RI on July 11,1955 to John and Rose (DelMonico) Campo, John graduated from Community College of RI and then worked at TMI, Technical Materials Inc. for 39 years, from 1978 until he retired in 2017.
John enjoyed good times and card games with his wife, daughters, family and friends. Self-taught technologically, John gladly shared his IT expertise with his family, friends and churches. At OSBC, he was in the choir and participated in the Sound Room and Cleaning Ministries, continuing his service at the sound room at Riverside Church. “Uncle John” was there through every science fair project, birthday party and sports game for his nieces and nephew.
John is survived by his wife, Diane M. (Turner) Campo, daughters Traci L. Campo and Jennifer R (Joshua) Vitello of Greenville, South Carolina, sisters, Sandra Campo and Cheryl Dromgoole of Naples, FL, nieces Marissa (Lori) Janton, Amanda and Stephanie Turner, nephew Ryan (Brenda To) Dromgoole, five great nephews and one great-niece. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 2:00 PM in Riverside Church, 8660 Daniels Pkwy, Ft. Myers, Fl. 33912. Donations in his memory may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
