John Baptiste Fusco

John (Sonny) Baptiste Fusco, age 84, of Naples, died peacefully on Wednesday November 7, 2018 at Avow Hospice. Born in the Bronx N.Y. on October 11, 1934, John was the son of the late Jerry and Adeline Fusco. John is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia (Johnson) Fusco and was preceded in death by his wife Anna Uzzo Fusco, loving father of Colette (Fusco) Steen (James), grandfather of Kevin, David and Anne Steen, brother of Andrew (Esther) Fusco and the late Mario Fusco, brother in law of Carole (Joseph) Brophy and Anthony (Vicki) Uzzo and the late Louis (Toni) Uzzo; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and Godchildren. John attended Evander Childs High School and the New York School of Applied Sciences, was a medic in the U.S. Army Reserves and the owner of Herricks Jewelers in Garden City, NY for over 25 years where he designed and created many customized engagement and wedding rings. Upon retiring, John was a community volunteer, head usher at St. William Catholic Church and a fourth degree member of the Naples Knights of Columbus. John was known for his keen sense of humor, quick wit and repertoire of never ending jokes. He enjoyed cooking (especially grilling), photography and creating aquariums. The family will receive friends Friday, November 9, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road, Naples. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 1:00 p.m. at St. William Church. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in John's name to the St. William Council of the Knights of Columbus or Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105.
