John Edward Lees

John E. Lees, 88, of Naples, FL left to meet his wife Joyce Lees on June 29, 2018. Born in Syracuse, NY, a son of the late Herbert and Lila Lees, he was a brother to the late Parker Lees. John attended Morrisville College, in NY.

John served 4 years in the US Navy stationed aboard the USS. Coral Sea, CV-43. While in the Navy, he met and married Joyce Benn of Portia, AR. They had a son, Herbert Kent Lees, named after both his grandfathers.

After serving in the Navy, John went home and worked for the family business. He graduated from Syracuse University and had a daughter, Cynthia Rae Lees (MacNamara). John had 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

John bought the family business and ran it until he retired to Naples in the late nineties. His beloved wife, Joyce, passed just 2 and a half years ago. Both his son and daughter.

John Lees was a friendly man, sharing his handyman knowledge and skills with his many friends and neighbors. He will be missed.

John will be resting at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL with Joyce.
