John P. Allen

John P. Allen (Delahanty) passed away suddenly on January 26, 2023, at the age of 81.  He is survived by his wife, Debbie Delahanty, his parents in-law, Becky and Ed Delahanty, his “daughter,” Jill Granville and her children Ginger, Henry, Evelyn, Jack and Susie (Naples, FL), and his sister, Donna Nelson (Minnesota).  He was a Veteran, lifelong educator, dear friend, and loving husband, father and brother.  John loved reading, his weekly golf games and his Krispy Cream donuts!  He touched so many people in his life in so many ways.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation to the Literacy Council, where he had been tutoring for the past couple of years.  www.literacygulfcoast.org  OR PO BOX 2703, Bonita Springs, FL  34133.
