"Julie Marie (Jackson) Lyon of Naples, FL was born on October 31st, 1962 in Storm Lake, Iowa. She was a small town farm girl from Pocahontas, IA turned Floridian that had such a grand passion for life and living it to the fullest. She made her way in the world as a wonderful mother and a dedicated working woman who took so much pride in her job, her daughters, and being there for her family and friends. She was undoubtedly the life of every party.
Julie, 57, passed away on March 7th, 2020, just 7 hard fought months after being diagnosed with Metaplastic Breast Cancer. She is survived by her two daughters, Katie and April Lyon, her life partner Christopher Anderson, her loving parents Marilyn and Dennis Jackson, and her four siblings, Dan Jackson, Joy Woods, Darvin Jackson, and Kristin Hess.
Julie loved the beach, country music, sports, and her cats! But mostly, she loved her girls and her family which she worked viciously hard to provide for. Her tenacity and big love will forever be cherished and remembered.
Julie requested that we celebrate her life in a grand way with a large Celebration of Life party. This will be planned at a later date, but in lieu of flowers or gifts contributions can be made to Julie's Memorial Fund. In true Julie fashion, this fund will help support others currently battling Metaplastic Breast Cancer, https://www.gofundme.com/f/julies-memorial-fund-4-metaplastic-cancer
This remarkable and unforgettable mother, daughter, and woman is forever in our hearts with a spirit too big to ever leave us."
