Leonard Lehman, 87, of Naples, died peacefully Thursday, December 23, 2021 at his home. He was born in Alexandria, Virginia, June 19, 1934, the son of Samuel Bernard "Ben" Lehman and Ida (nee Frank) Lehman. Leonard graduated from George Washington High School and the University of Florida. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a longtime employee at the Pentagon, his last position having been an assistant to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He was a member of the Agudas Achim Synagogue, in Alexandria. He is survived by a brother, Paul, Naples; three nieces, Barbara Buns Cabiac, Ormond Beach, Ethel Buns, St. Petersburg, and Kimberly Lehman Mackin, Charlotte, NC, and two nephews, Jack Buns, Largo, and Phillip Buns, Norfolk, VA. He is also survived by three great nieces and one great nephew and four great great nieces and five great great nephews.
A graveside service will be held at the Agudas Achim Cemetery, in Alexandria, at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. Donations in Leonard's name can be made to AVOW Hospice, of Naples, and Agudas Achim Synagogue, of Alexandria.
