Lewis Bivins Thompson, a native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and a long-time resident of Wausau, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon the 16th of November 2018, at his home in Naples, Florida.
He was born in Smyrna, Tennessee on August 4, 1944 the son of Bertie Mae Harris and Frank Bivins Thompson. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sue Thompson, his children JoAnne, Siwaporn, and Phillip and his grandchildren Wilkes, Christian Barrett, Miles, Spencer, Jane and Stephen.
After his service in the US Air Force, Mr. Thompson began his career of over 40 years in the cardboard box manufacturing business. He was the General Manager for Packaging Corporation of America in Colby, Wisconsin until his retirement in 2011.
Mr. Thompson enjoyed playing golf and cards with his friends and was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Iowa Hawkeyes and during moments of weakness, the Chicago Bears. A Celebration of Life will be planned for 2019.
